Participate in Earth Hour

Join 1 Thing for Green's Earth Hour Commitment! From 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Saturday, March 28, turn off your lights and give Mother Earth a break. Help show that one person and one thing (for green) CAN make a difference, especially when we all work together!

Earth Hour is an initiative to fight global warming. Turning off the lights for one hour is considered a "vote" for Earth in the fight between our planet and global warming. When Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, 2.2 million homes and businesses went dark for one hour. In 2008, 50 million people participated in the movement. This year, the goal is 1 billion people switching off their lights. With your help, that goal is reachable!

1 Thing for Green is based on the concept that small, individual things can change the world. Earth Hour is the perfect way to start! Participate in Earth Hour this weekend, and join 1 Thing for Green to continue being a part of the movement to save the planet, one action at a time.
